Hiking trail through beautiful nature of Norrland character
Silverleden is a 60-km long-distance footpath loop starting and ending at Hurtigtorpet in Hällefors. The path runs through areas where silver mining was extensive during the 17th century. Some parts go through hilly terrain with a Norrland character, and there are many lakes and watercourses. The region is rich for mooses and beavers.
The trail has been marked with orange rings around trees and posts. In its entirely, Silverleden, with its great natural beauty, is a demanding walk.
You can sleep in tent at the wildcamps (with shelter and fireplaces), or so you can do day hikes and stay the nights in our hostel.
We sell maps of the trail!
